Laura Ashley Paint
Speaking from experience, I have found Laura Ashley Paints to be a pleasure to use. The consistency is excellent, and the coverage is superb, covering with only one coat. It is a high quality acrylic paint that cleans up with soap and water. It is perfect for a family, since it is durable and easy to clean.
As a person with an interest in design, I find the colors and hues are varied and comprehensive, they go with any design style ranging from classic to contemporary. The Laura Ashley paint charts are designed to make it easy to find colors that go well together. There are almost 500 colors to choose from with four finishes: matt, eggshell, matte and semi-gloss.
One fear that I have had when choosing colors is the difference between store lighting and home lighting, another fear is that the color appears very different when looking at the paint chip versus a whole wall. Laura Ashley has the perfect solution with their paint samples. You can paint up a sample of up to 8' x 12' with their sample size paint. Use a poster board or a wall, a poster board can be moved around to be seen in different light and next to furniture and colors. Using this method you do not have to imagine the finished product, you can actually visualize it.
One of the best thing that I have found is that Laura Ashley Paint collection coordinates with the Laura Ashley fabric collection, as well as the wallpapers, carpets and bed linens. The person without design experience can pull together a beautiful room by using these products. Painting is a relatively inexpensive way to give a room or your home a facelift and there is no doubt that Laura Ashley is the best way to do it.
